    Advair diskus

Advair does come in a regular "puff" metered inhaler. I used to use the diskus, but then the powder started bothering me. Now I use the inhaler with a Vortex chamber and I feel like I get much more of the med and that it works better. I also take 2 puffs (the meter is a 112, so 2 puffs of that...

    does anyone do this?

And I was told (lol) to do the HS first (well, after Xopenex <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ), wait at least 15 minutes, and then do Pulmozyme. I do my vest (30 minutes minimum) in between HS and pulmozyme. I do know that the pulmozyme still works doing that...

    AZLI vs TOBI

I don't tolerate Tobi particularly well, but guess what ONE drug my pa is resistant to? *sigh* We'll see if maybe it has a synergy effect with an oral of some sort, I guess.

    Using Avandia in Cystic Fibrosis

This is one of the "no no" class of drugs for CFRDers with liver disease, btw. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. Talk about the chicken and the egg! I would like to take this drug (one day, if it shows that it helps significantly), because it could help my cf messed up organs, but...

When was your child's first lung involvement?

It can vary wildly, I'm afraid. Mutations can point to a predisposion towards certain complications, but then you have cfers like me who throw a wrench in the "conventional" wisdom...I had 2 surgeries as a baby (meconium illius and then adhesions 6 months later), but didn't get p.a. until I was...
