    Albeuterol Dose Enough?

I don't recommend this without talking to your doctor....but I have for the past 2 years now taken 2 ampules of albuterol at a time because it just seemed 1 wasn't helping. I do one treatment then do the other right after. Even after doing the 2 I never feel jittery or have a racing heart...

PFT's, O2 Sats and Finger Clubbing - Survey

fev1=32% O2=97-98% no clubbing or if so...very mild I have heard also that clubbing is related to oxygen levels. At one time I questioned my dr. about why my fev1 is fairly low but my oxygen is fine. That puzzled me....I thought it made sense that if the fev1 was low....oxygen would be low...

    B. Cepacia

Allisa (my sister) sent me this topic to reply to. My experience was that I cultured it twice I believe. When I cultured it, it took some time to show up and I was already on IV antibiotics. I also cultured pseudomonas at that time. Over the years, the pseudomonas is gone and now I culture...

I was wondering if anyone understands the numbers on the sputum test results when they test for susceptibility? From mine: Levofloxain 0.25 susceptible, Cefazolin <=4 Susceptible, Gentamicin 16 resistant, Cefepime 64 resistant. I am wondering on the susceptible ones it the higher the number...

Christian: I know this is a very difficult decision for you to make. I wanted to have a child so bad. My husband and I went to a specialist to try and get pregnant and they talked me out of it. But then, surprise....after 9 years of marriage I got pregnant! My fev1 was about 35% when I got...

    getting pregnant with 47% FEV!???

Hi all! My first post as I am new to the board. When I got pregnant my fev1 was running about 30-33%. My pft's actually improved during pregnancy. However, even though my pft's were kinda poor, they had been steady for several years and hadn't been on too many IV antibiotics. I did go into...
