    doc and I disagree

I have both a Devilbiss Pulmoaide and Pari Vios, and both are less than six months old. My treatment times are: Albuterol ~ 8 minutes Hypertonic ~ 15 minutes Pulmozyme ~8 minutes I don't take Tobi. Are you stopping when the neb starts sputtering? That is when I stop doing my treatments. For a...

Epic Systems iPhone/iPad/iOS Device App - Must have for CF'ers

Epic Systems iPhone/iPad/iOS Device App - Must have for CF'ers

I'm having trouble finding this app. I'm pretty new to using apps, but I have a new Macbook and just tried searching for "mychart" and "my chart" in the app store and it didn't find it. Am I doing something wrong?

    Tap Water

I don't understand that at all. I do the same thing as you - put it in the sterilizer after I clean them with tap water. Shouldn't the sterilizer kill any bugs that may have been introduced by the tap water? Isn't that the whole point of the sterilization processes - to STERILIZE the nebs? So...

    Wanting to conceive

I am a bit surprised by your doctor's lack of support. The research I have read has shown that, if a woman with CF is healthy going into a pregnancy, she will usually do fine during the pregnancy. The harder part is after the baby arrives - it is hard to juggle taking care of a newborn and...

Know of anyone with more than 2 kids?

There is also a woman in the CF Mummies group who has twins and is now pregnant. I love to hear these stories. We are thinking about #2 and I am very nervous, so I love to hear about other people who have done it.

    Exercise bike vs treadmill jog

I seem to remember reading a study that actually looked at this and found running is better - maybe because the extra jostling helps with mucus clearance? I know, personally, I prefer running because I push myself harder. And I have the same issue as Melissa with biking where my legs get tired...

    Probiotic

I take Ortho Biotics: http://www.amazon.com/Ortho-Molecular-Product-Orthos-Capsules/dp/B000JLK7M6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323872362&sr=8-1 I like them because they don't have to be refrigerated and I only need one per day. They were recommended to me by the people at the "wellness pharmacy" -...

    Nursing Moms-what has helped u?

I also used on of those little sleeve things to keep everything contained on my upper arm. Could you wear long sleeves? I was pretty amazed becauseIf DD never really was that interested in it (she was 10 months old). I know the nurse used lots of tape, too. I know I also used to wrap my arm in...
