...and do the new vitamins help the liver....I mean, they are better absorbed for weight gain...but does that positively affect the liver. Also, can the liver be protected. I know the gall bladder (with sludge/gallstones) affects the liver, hence why the gallbladder might be removed....thus...

I understand the liver to be affected because of the thicker bile....actigall helps this....but I wonder the long term affects on the liver....and if liver disease can be held at bay with the actigall or other medicines/nutrition....?

Thank you for the info. But my question is: do these drugs also affect the digestive system since they are trying to correct the defective gene? And what about the liver and pancreas/diabetes, is there any focus on these CF issues I wonder? Or is the digestive system controllable as far as...

My question is this: with all the CF trials going on...corrective gene therapy, salt transport....will these have an impact on the digestive aspect of CF? Thank you.
