I know exactly what you're talking about...and it's gross. I always get a really bad/foul smell in my nose when I'm getting a sinus infection.
Maybe try some nasal rinse/sinus irrigation to help clear it out. I use the Waterpik w/ nasal adapter at home, and SinuRinse when I travel..it has...

Maybe it is plugs; that's kinda what I was thinking initially. I don't know if I've ever had them before (is there a way to know?).
