Where do you live? Reason I ask is that my son had IV therapy for 3 weeks and his PFT's continued to fall. They tested him for Valley Fever and he came back positive. We're on a new therapy and he's looking better but I haven't had new PFTs run yet. We live in AZ so the desert dust got him...

Some of you knew that my 9 year old son Vinnie has been in and out of the hospital for the last month. He was in IV therapy for 3 weeks and showed absolutely no improvement in his PFTs. As of last Friday they were down to 69%....so they took a Valley Fever test and a CT scan of his sinuses...

Not necessarily. You can have a boil (skin type) and not have it anywhere else. (I believe) No, this can be transferred by touching something that has the bacteria on it, coughing, etc...that's the scary part. Community is supposed to be harder to treat than hospital, but I'm not really sure...
