My SW told me it can be downloaded from their site. (I've also included the link below)
Apparently it's hit-and-miss with who's received theirs and who hasn't. Ghpp is letting the center's know who hasn't turned in their application, and, go figure, some on the list weren't even mailed one...
Woohoo.
Surfer Emily was on our local ABC news just now. She talked about how the salt water helps clear her lungs for her CF. Good story!
The story also stated that she is working with a Pro Surfer (forgot his name) to create a Charity: Pipeline to a Cure. (I believe that's how it went)...
We learned how to flush my own port last month, we will attempt it ourselves this weekend.
Can any one provide written instructions (re-post here), or an internet link - something as a guide for us to follow to be sure we aren't forgetting anything.
Thanks!
I have chronic inflammation. I also have allergies. I take zyrtec and singulair for my allergies, but the allergies still leak through. Effective nose spray make my nose bleed.
I don't know if all my inflammation is from allergies alone or plain ol CF, or both.
I was trying to get on Xolair...
I read Julie's post from a while ago about her hubby having trouble, but I'm wondering -
If my lung is fully or partially colapsed, can it get better on it's own / what is the harm in waiting it out to see if it's just a pulled muscle ?
I woke up yesterday with sharp pains in my upper left rib...
Is it strictly the state, or do they get money from CFF or anyone else?
I'm so friggin pissed at them.
They are worse than DMV workers with the amount of heart they have.
It just baffels my mind that these people can sleep at night - being in the "health care industry" but not caring one...
I'm guessing it has to do with the over-use of signature pics, again.
Sorry, my personal gripe. But it would be nice to be able to read what posted around here.
*steps away from the computer*
I was reading the Frequencer thread and wanted to make a new post with my question.
Have any of you switched from the Vest to the Frequencer?
If so, what is your FEV1? And how often do you need abx?
How do you compare the two devices?
With the vest you hook up and then sit for 30 minutes...
I know studies have not been done on anything but Tobi for the e-flow, but I have been told that others use their e-flow to administer their other meds too.
So, I've been using mine for all my meds (rinsing in between, especially after hts, just like I did with my pari).
I found that the HTS...
Is it possible to experience side effects of Tobra (dizziness, or even kidney related stuff etc) even when the peak and troughs are within normal range?
Typically do they still treat with Tobra when the patient is showing signs of toxicity?
I'm still jumping through hoops trying to get this approved and I'm hoping all this waiting will pay off.
Please tell me your experiences, good, bad or indifferent.
Did it help cut down on inflammation? Were you less SOB after starting it? Do you have pets at home that you are allergic to...
Well, today I just got a copy of the results of a culture (from a year ago) and had this in it. Though I'm still waiting to hear what last weeks culture showed.
I don't know anything about this one. I tried googling it and keep coming up with the same dr-speak mumbo jumbo. And, not all of...
Just as the title suggests.
I have a log of pft's (fev1, fvc, fev1/fvc, fef 25-75%, pef).
Sometimes I get a summary report with it, which tells me my fev1(L)% of predicted, fvc(L)% of predicted and fev1/fvc%. Sometimes I don't get this summary.
Does anyone know how to change the read-outs...
I have a chart/graph that I'm trying to add to my blog. The chart was created from a spreadsheet in Excel. I was hoping to include it within a blog.
Anyone have knowledge?
My guess is that it's bogged down by gigantic signature pics? ...a problem for us still living in the stone ages....
bummin'
