Actually the last time I had a picc, the nurse told me that the guy she just took one out of had a blister under his tegaderm. I think he worked out a lot. So, yes, I have heard of that before. I would tell them to be extra careful when they pull of your dressing...or maybe you want to do it...

I'm concerned if I got it in my inner arm, it would hard to cover with summer IV's. I had a p.a.s. port once and it was in my left forearm, and I hated to wear sleeves in the summer to cover that darn thing up.

After my port grew yeast, had the ethanol treatment, it grew yeast again...meaning, that sucker has to come out. It's in my upper right chest (below collar bone 4" or so).
I had a port in my left forearm but it got grabbed all the time when people wanted my attention. So I don't like that...
