    Thanks, Lindsey, that is helpful. I have just started taking insulin and it seems to have helped the problem somewhat. My blood sugars do tend to run ridiculously high (>300) even though my fasting sugars are still normal. I have had my eyes checked recently, however, and they are not damaged...
