I'm in the process of having this problem evaluated right now. My feet and hands have been tingling for 2-3 weeks. I mentioned it to my ID doctor since I was on IV Fortaz at the time and thought it was from the meds. He thinks it is unlikely from that medication, especially since it didn't...
I have one as well but can' t remember what I paid for it. My pulmonary doctor prescribed it, and the pharmacy ordered it, but I'm not sure if that's the way it has to be done.
Like Melissa's, mine doesn't give FEV1. I'm not sure what the numbers are, but it is consistent, so I know if...

Is that how it looked when the line was removed? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. It does take a while for the site to heal. If the redness and swelling are worsening, that would concern me.
Hope she can stay picc-free for a while!

I wouldn't think so. My pulmonary doctor likes me to try to take it as close to 12 hours as possible because he tells me it is one of the few antibiotics for which the tension actually matters.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time! From some other posts on here, it seems that low-grade fevers among those of us with cf is fairly typical. I know I've gone through years when I had them almost all the time. Right now, I don't, but it wasn't like anyone figured out a way to...

Jeana,
I don't have anything to add, really, but wanted to tell you I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a bad time. I'll be praying for you and hope you're able to get that FEV1 back up soon and get home.

I'm a teacher, so it's difficult to miss work. I do IVs at school, and my students just get used to it. They're amazingly un-bothered by the whole thing, and I answer any questions they have about it.
Sometimes I have to stay home and get some extra rest for a day here and there while...
