The syringe for my sons g-tube is 6 mils but I was told by the surgeon and to use only 5 mils. I only use the syringe that came with the kit and when I replace his g-tube I keep the old syringe as a back up. I too was told to check it every week, but now (over a year later) I only check it when...

What about buying some small zip ties, looping up some of the excess tubing (close to the backpack, or somewhere out of reach) to shorten the total legnth of the tubing? I know it would be a pain to have to cut the zip tie every time you wanted to clean the tubing, so maybe a regular kitchen tie...

    g-tube

What type of g-tube does your daughter have? My son started out with a Bard and we were able to cut down a feeding tube for meds. He now has a MIC-KEY and that is not an option, at least not with out some extensive tube surgery. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
