My interpretation is that docs says NAC is ineffective because s/he knows the old research about it as a mucus thinner that works for normal people, but not for CF'ers. The new research says that NAC reduces inflammation - a totally different affect for a different symptom.

Hey man, you have two choices, Tampa or Orlando. From the data at the CF foundation, the Tampa hospital seems better. The Orlando hospital has the same stats as up here in Gainesville at UF - but I think my doctors kind of suck. Tampa might be worth the drive:
