I saw this google alert where they were raising money (and
exercising) by using those big balls with the handle. You sit
on them and jump around, kinda like a kangaroo. I think they
might even have kangaroo in the name. I remember gthem from
childhood, but was just wondering if anyone can...
Wow! That is so awesome!! I can just imagine how cute
that would be to see..three little bundles all lined up like a
team! Congratulations seems like an inadequate word!!
Hip Hip (Hip) Hooray!
Shane, who is 39 months old, is finally starting to use the potty.
He was really resistant to training so we backed off (aside from
meddlesome comments from MIL). Well, about two weeks ago he started
to show interest, but was sick and had diarrhea. It totally threw
all of us off kilter. So this...
Thanks everybody for the quick replies! This is such a great
a community...and, Liz, I agree that you seem so wise beyond your
years. Everyone is so sweet, I really appreciate that.
OK, so we took my soon for a sweat test after hubby and I found out
we were both CF carriers. His results were good-nowhere even
near borderline. But then he's been really sick, so we
finally convinced his pedi to get a stool sample. (whole 'nother
topic-we're switching docs). Well, the...
I just had one a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if its
different for pregnancy, but mine took 3 hours. (12 hours
fasting) They do the first blood draw, then you drink the
orange stuff, then the draw every hour for the next three hours.
Hope that helps!
Let me start off with a disclaimer: I have not had an
amnio, so I don't even know for sure if my child has CF.
I have posted a few times, but here are the basics. I have a
3 yo son and I'm 6.5 months pregnant with a girl. We have
found out that my husband and I are both carriers...
Stephanie,
I have no idea about fecal fat tests except that my dr may order
one for DS this weekend. But I did want to say that my
husband is pretty much the same.. He doesn't really want to know
too much until somebody tells him specifically that our son or
(soon to be) daughter actually...
Jen,
To be honest we are both so new to this situation, my husband and I
didn't know what to ask. I guess because there is no
echogenic bowel (at least on the u/s) that they don't feel the baby
is at risk (since we decided not to do the amnio, there isn't even
a CF diagnosis yet). You've...
Wow...thanks for sharing your story. Is there any chance you
were supposed to deliver at a catholic hospital? When my doc
and I talked about it, I asked about the timing of my c-section.
He said that because I have to deliver at a catholic
hospital, they absolutely will not do a csection...
There is not much I can add to what has already been said.
Just thought I'd share that it sounds like we might be pretty
much in the same place. I am 26 weeks pregnant with our
second child and we are both carriers of CF. We had an extra
u/s and we will get another one around 30 weeks, but...
Part of the reason I decided to go from "anonymous" to a
user name is this message...really. Three years ago, I gave
birth to a healthy (we thought) boy. Now I am pregnant with
our second child, a girl. Well, we are trying to get a blood
test for my son and there is a possibility my daughter...
