    How do you have CFRD and are PS? <br />I thought people got CFRD basically because their pancrease was totally not functioning? <br />

    I don't mean for this to encourage your fear so please try not to let it do that. At our hospital, which is huge, the cepacia and non-cepacia patients aren't even allowed to be in the same building. They are on opposite sides of the campus.

    I don't know about strokes but you are correct about heart attacks. They used to think that it was only limited to cox-2 NSAIDs but now the literature also suggests that all NSAIDs have an increased risk. There are definately additional risks with this therapy.     You are right about the dosage requirements. I take more than that though - 3200mg a day. The doctor should put you on Vit K, a PPI and closely watch your labs if you do the high dose IBU therapy.

    Yep. One of the side effects. IBU essentially makes clotting harder. Also a caveat - if you need to go on IV abx chances are you will need to stop taking IBU for the duration you are on the IVs.
