You are right about the dosage requirements. I take more than that though - 3200mg a day.
The doctor should put you on Vit K, a PPI and closely watch your labs if you do the high dose IBU therapy.

Yep. One of the side effects. IBU essentially makes clotting harder.
Also a caveat - if you need to go on IV abx chances are you will need to stop taking IBU for the duration you are on the IVs.
