I have heard of CF patients who JUST get high when they are sick do insulin and otherwise they do not. Maybe that could be an option for you if you are fine when you are feeling good. Good Luck. Unfortunately, I feel CFRD is SO HIGH MAINTENENCE and it really stinks.
