Sean had clinic today, which BTW went very well for the first time in a long time, so I asked his Dr. what she thought about the HS/Pulmozyme order and if she'd seen the study. She indicated that there are actually a few studies (some ongoing and some that are completed) evaluating the sequence...
If adoption and IVF w/ PGD are too expensive then how do you propose to care for another CFer financially? The financial impact of CF can't be denied and it only increases as the CFer ages. Sure, maybe you have good health care now but that can change at the drop of a hat.

Not like I'm one to talk because I haven't been around much lately but it just dawned on me that I haven't seen anything from Liz (thelizardqueen) in a while.
I hope everything is ok. Anyone heard from her?

You can find hundreds of stories just like yours on here. Our ped didn't believe it could be CF either. She was wrong.
Tell your ped to order the sweat test for both your kids or you'll find a Dr. that will. Unfortunately, you sometimes have to "get in their face" before they'll do anything...

We struggle with this as well. Sean is short (4'4") and as such doesn't weigh a whole lot (~62 lbs). His BMI is decent, in fact, it's the same if not a little higher than his brother's who is tall but VERY thin.
Although we have our share of tall people in the family, we also have our share...
