My kids are on the low end... 38 and 41... being in the "normal" range is what caused an 8 year delay in correct diagnosis for our daughter ... our son was tested genetically after we found both genes in our daughter...then just for the hell of it we did a sweat test on him and found it to be 41.

I realize I am way off the mark here with this question (not helping the original poster)... but is there a different scale (number system) used for little kids and adults when you guys are using those BMI numbers?

I'm sorry to say that 50 is not a normal result. That is clearly in the borderline area, which I personally think should be moved....or done away with anyway, because so many people are testing out in the 20's now...then find two CF genes.
