Well, a quick search turns up some very common CF problems.... bacterial infection and inflammation... hopefully that's all it is.

correct me if I'm wrong here guys, but no.. I don't think extra saliva and/or drooling is usually associated with CF. But the other things you describe... lung issues, diarrhea, being tired, underweight and smaller than others his age certainly are classic signs of CF.
As for the dark circles...
