This is just my opinion. But if one does not need large amounts of insulin with meals and is not taking insulin with every bit of food that is eaten I would say no to pump. I have a friend who has the pump because she needs insulin with food, corrective insulin etc. SO I guess it just depends...

Funny thing is for me my doc started my right away on insulin when my sugars were spiking just over 200 and over 120.
