I think you are handling this remarkably well. Very healthy attitude. It sounds like this could all work out well for you. Cancer getting erradicated (most likely) and Duke taking patients after 2 years of being cancer free. Good luck to you, Steph.
I wish my center had told me about colon...

I've tried Cayston with the Altera neb and it gives me a really bad reaction. I'm sticking with Colistin because I just can't breathe when I take Cayston. Haven't refilled my Cayston Rx in a long time and the CF Pharmacy has still not asked for the neb back. Maybe they never will. I'm sure...

A pulse oximeter is the thing they stick on the end of your finger at the hospital that reads your O2 saturation and your pulse. The home pulse oximeters are battery operated so they're very portable. Just google "amazon pulse oximeter" and you'll get a bunch with ratings and comments. I like...

I was telling my doctor that I didn't feel rested in the morning and was having trouble sleeping. He asked me if I woke up with a headache that went away when I got up. That was exactly what was happening. So I went on O2 and don't wake up with a headache unless my O2 is set too high or too...

Hi Leah,
Colistin makes me tight and wheezy, but the symptoms don't last more than about 4 or 5 hours. Often I do another albuterol treatment after Colistin which helps alot. It's a common side effect.

Hey Lindsey,
Thanks for the great reply. I think I will call for an appointment to, as you say, give myself some peace of mind. I think it will take some of the fear out of it for me (some, not all) - one less unknown. I do have several questions but, I don't think the surgeon will expect me...
