Hey all,
This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering how those of you on O2 at night found you needed it? Was it solely a few hospital stays with your sats being monitored while you were sleeping? Did you just call your clinic feeling lousy and have the doc suggest O2 at night?
More and more I wake up in the mornings feeling like I haven't taken a decent breath since I first fell asleep. This may be an asthma related lung issue, but it happens SO OFTEN. Albuterol before bed helps, but it seems like it doesn't last me all night long. I'm always tired, cough my lungs up every morning and it takes me a while to catch my breath when I wake up. After I cough for what feels like two hours (it's more like 20mins), I feel better and feel like air is moving around a little better.
Did anyone feel like this before needing O2 at night? How DID you guys feel when you/your docs decided to put you on oxygen? I wonder this, too, because I suppose I could have a completely different problem while sleeping and actually need a C-PAP mask (or something for sleep apnea) rather than oxygen?
Anyone here have bad sleep apnea and have these problems?
Thanks!
