A friend of mine just found out her daughter will be born with CF. Devistating news... I wanted to know if there are varying degrees of CF and if that can be determined now (at 18 weeks pregnant). Can the quality of life be determined before a child is born???
I agree. Even people with the same mutations can have different severities of this disease. There are a lot of treatments now & on the horizon that will make life longer and better for this unborn child. I wish the best for you friend and her baby.<img src="i/expressions/present.gif" border="0">
Hi. I am 24 weeks pregnant and my daughter was also diagnosed with CF. I agree it is very devistating. I can relate so much to what your friend is going through. I wish we had a way to find out the severity as well. I wish her all the best because I am going through it with her. I will say one thing I have found nothing but good positive things about this on the message board so I strongly suggest her visiting it and talking to all the great people on here.
