also the other thing I just thought of is maybe she needs some steroid therapy for the Aspergillus.. If that is acting up that can cause a huge decrease in lungs that would not respond to antibiotics at all

Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers..I really appreciate your responses. She did grow B Cepacia in a sputum a few hospital stays ago but not again since. We are just waiting patiently for the results from the sample they took in the bronch. She is on a new IV cocktail right now - nobody really knows what else to do. No change yet. I like the idea of steroids but her CF related diabetes gets all out of whack when they do them, maybe I'll bring it up with her doc tomorrow. Will keep you posted.

Get a bronch. It's important to know what's growing in her lungs that she may not be coughing up.

<br />Sputum cultures may only come form one part of the lungs - thus a poor representation of what's growing in the lungs
