keeping home germ-free with visitors you don't know

I've been in to view an apartment where the person was germophobic. The land lord told us that they were immune comprimised. They had a piece of tape on the carpet at which point no one could cross the line with shoes and although they did not do this I would see no problem with you leaving a bottle of Purell there for all to use. Maybe even a sign with *rules*

I don't see a reason why you need to warn the landlord about germs that could harm other cfers. They'll never know if their clients have cf.

As long as you are a bill paying resident they owe it to you to help you maintain your health.

Btw, what city do you live in? I live in Philly.

Oh and here's another nasty train story... husband and I witnessed this last week on the way to a clinic appt no less :)

Man openly picks his nose and flicks it about the train. Someone boards train and sits near him so then instead of flicking he wipes buggers on handrails in front of him and all around him. Nasty!!

I think the Purell by the door is about the best you can hope for, and a big, pleasantly worded sign about using due to the resident having respiratory problems and being pregnant (and a thank you for their consideration in this matter, blah, blah ). Then inform the landlord that you have this set up, and would they please help you out.

Showing your place for sale is soooo fun...NOT!
