HillRom vest-do you have to unplug after each use?

well, i'm a typical guy and didn't read the instructions so i didn't know it said to unplug after every use, mine stays plugged in for days at a time (until i decide to use it in another place) and it still works fine.

I don't have a Vest, and this is just a guess...

If there's a storm and a power surge, it could destroy the thing if it's still plugged in. So they tell you to unplug it because it's a large expensive medical device. I wouldn't say it's necessary after every use. Maybe just is the weather is iffy?

Mind you, that is just a guess.

I keep mine plugged in all the time - don't know if that's right or wrong, that's just what I do. Of course now that you bring it up, I'm thinking maybe I SHOULD unplug it to conserve energy (being the little earth-lover that I am) LOL!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

You know, every appliance says to unplug after use, but seriously do you unplug your toaster or your coffee pot or your electric can opener after every use? I don't think most people do. If it's too difficult for ya right now (and it's difficult for a totally awesome reason, I might add) I say just leave it plugged in. I don't think it's really hurting anything. But maybe some others have better advice or know something I don't.
