Manners: huffing/coughing and apartment living, hotel stays

No ones complained with me either and I forgot about college. In college they did check on me a couple times to make sure i was okay though.

Whenever I'm staying at a hotel, I tell the people when I book my room and then I usually say something else when I check in. I am very open with my two major illnesses, other people aren't. Doesn't really matter either way I think...but be you. If you're concerned about it, then I'd suggest to mention it. To put *YOUR* mind at ease.
If your not worried, then don't. Besides I'm sure if they are concerned they'd ask you, or come check on you durring a coughing fit...

I'm the type of person who just feels better when people around me are aware of issues. Like work and even my neighbors next door (and they can't hear me unless I'm outside or they are) I just feel more secure. (I know I'm kinda weird that way! ...) You should do what makes you comfortable most of all.

I've always lived in apartments. And I realize it could be a problem. So I decided that out of consideration for others, I would do my treatments no earlier than 12 noon and no later than 8 pm everyday. My current CF status allows me to do this, but I hate to think what will happen when I'll need more treatments and earlier treatments added to my routine.

If the noise ever bothered anybody, they never said so, although I know they can hear my vest. In my current apartment (lived there almost 2 yrs.), my downstairs neighbor approached me a week after I moved in and mentioned the noise (she thought it was exercise equipment). So I explained the CF to her and said that I hope it doesn't bother her, but it's a necessity for me. She was cool with it. But she and her hubby moved out about a month ago. I've been wondering if it was me.... oh well!

I could never wait till noon or before 8 for my treatments. I wouldn't oblige anyone either. Fact is, if you work, you have to do them at odd hours---be it early or late. They can always find another apartment.

I've also lived with roommates and my brother for over 8 years. I think it bothers my brother sometimes but my other roommate used to sleep right through it. Even in college when we shared a room.
