About Eflow

Hey everyone! I had a couple of questions in regard to the Eflow compressor. I had asked my medical supplier about the eflow and she said she hadn't heard of it and it wasn't in her ordering catalog. I was wondering where you all obtained your Eflow? Also, how much does it cost? (I'm assuming insurance doesn't cover it.) Thanks for the information you may have.

My insurance covered mine. I don't know the exact procedure. I believe technically the eFlow is on "loan" to me. If something happens to it, I have to replace it (in which case that would be about $1,700). But in short, I've been using it for months, and it's mine indefinitely (assuming I don't break it) completely free to me.

I got it from this pharmacy:

There are only 3 pharmacies thru which you can get the eFlow and the one you use depends on the state you live in. There is a map on the Source CF website: http://www.sourcecf-crd.com/ and also the contact info for the pharmacies.

Like Emily, my husband's is on 'loan.' Basically the way it works is that if you order your nebbed medications through them (in his case it is colistin), they will let you use the eFlow for free.

Have you talked to your doctor about the eFlow? Getting a doctor to prescribe it has been trouble for some people--there is a lot of misinformation about the eFlow out there. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or problems with that. We gave our clinic some information and were able to get the prescription, etc.

Oh, and my husband also gets free vitamins from IV Solutions along with the eFlow.

Yes Lisa mentioned something I forgot. I got mine from Foundation Care, and it's free because I get my Colistin and my hypertonic saline from them too. They also send me free vitamins (ABDEKs)!
