?? about using Pari LC Plus

OK Everyone I just started using Tobi again this month. I havent used TObi or Colistin since last spring thus I havent been using the Pari LC Plus. I was using my Sidestream. The ONLY input I am looking for is about any experiences with muscles tension from breathing thru it. I know a lot is from my biting down on it since it fits differently in my mouth. Last night after using it I could feel the tension go from my jaw down into my shoulder where muscles issues already exist. I feel a difference for the better using TObi, but dont remember having this issue with the neb cup before. Granted I didnt have the shoulder/muscle issue during my last use. I am just curious is all......

I could totaly see that happening. It's never happened to me but who knows, maybe it is and I don't even notice it.

Out bodies are so connected... jaw muscle's connected to the neck muscle :::sings::::

I can definately see how one could experience that.

Hi Melissa... When I use the Pari LC Plus neb I do not bit down on it at all. I just close my lips on the mouthpiece and breath which avoids the muscle tension you mention. I hope you feel better soon.

This is interesting. My jaw gets really sore using the Pari LC Plus, but I just figured I have a weird shaped mouth, lol. I've never had it travel to my shoulder, but I am not on daily nebs, so it might if I did it more often.

is the pari lc plus different then the regular tobi cup? is it better? should i get one? lol, but if its relativly the same idea, that has never happend to me. i do one treatment while im driving and use my teeth to keep it in my mouth, and even then its never happend. good luck with it though! do you think maybe its exagerated because you do something else like grind your teeth when your sleeping? just an idea! good luck!

As I am doing my Xopenex in my Pari LC Plus right now , it used to make my jaw tired, but now I put it further back in my teeth (so that the blue flap on the mouth piece is at my lip (for me, it's my bottom lip- it's upside down because I got tired of having it fling wet on my nose-LOL). I also just realized that I tend to hold it in my teeth in the right side of my mouth when I am on the computer! (so I can see, apparently). Don't know if this will help (maybe the on one side might), but I just found out something about my habits I didn't even realize!

Okay, I also just realized that I tend to prop the tubing wings at the bottom of the neb on my thumb when I'm reading...maybe just doing that would take some of the pressure off your jaw and shoulders? even occasionally as you are doing your meds?
