if you're not puking or crapping like crazy, it's not very likely that it's food poisoning. Could be a virus though.</end quote></div>

I actually spoke with my friend who is a registered dietician and she said many people don't realize there are tons of different strains of food poisoning... not just the ones everyone thinks of, so things like a throbbing headache, aches, etc. CAN be due to something you ate. Its just how your body is reacting to whatever "toxin" is in it. Interesting....

I still tend to agree with you and Melissa though that its probably a nasty virus.

Its slowly getting better and I'm soooo hungry! And, more importantly, I NEED COFFEE!!! LOL!

Oddly enough, what I hear most often from people is "I have the 24 hour flu", which my nutrition and food science professor said was a bunch of bull - THAT is food poisoning, lol.

Sonia, thanks for the info about other, lesser known symptoms of food poisoning; I'm wondering though, if those types of reactions aren't more like allergies to certain foods (like lactose intolerance, for example), rather than food-born illness (like e-coli or something).

I guess it doesn't really matter though - if you're sick, you're sick <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

I KNOW!!! I always want to correct people when they say they have the flu cause they're throwing up or something... that's NOT the flu. LOL! Even news reports have been done saying that there's no such thing as a flu with throwing up... its a virus or something you ate. ha!

Anyway, I digress.....
