So to make a long story...ummm longer...I started Zyvox 2 1/2 weeks ago (Oct 27ish) and I had some leftover so I just started using that...and I had refills on the script so I waited to call it in. I called it in with a few days left, went to go get the prescription and Rite Aid says "Oh its not ready...you need a prior authorization." Mind you...I had called it in two days prior, why they waited until I was there to pick it up is beyond me and made me angry...but that's another story for another day.

I mean I could have called the doctor and got this figured out because as you all know....even if Rite Aid faxes/or calls the doctor to get the PA, it may get lost in the mix somewhere. So anywho...at this point, a week after I started the Zyvox I had none left. It ended up taking a few more days to fill, thankfully the pharmacist did give me some to hold me over for a few days...BUT I was off of it from Wed until Saturday.

***Here is my question...

Since I was off the Zyvox for about 4 days...now that I have the med again...Should I start the 14 day prescription over? Or should I just continue where I left off and do one more week? Does that make sense? What would you do?

I would say start over and take the full dose. Better safe than sorry, ya know? I few extra days won't build a resistance. Just my 2 cents.

I've done that with Bactrim, I had some left over and started taking it when I felt bad and then had my doctors write a full two week prescription for it, shouldn't hurt any to have a few extra days worth.
