do any of you have the green (or blue) slug-like acapella? if so, do you hook it up to your nebs and do the treatment at the same time?

(if you dont know what im talking about, look at the end that looks like a propeller, the wider end, you can take the mouth piece off your neb cup and fit it into there)

i'd never even heard of doing that, not even in the hospital, until i looked at the instructions for it. geewiz... haha

i've had my acapella going on three years and only a month ago did i know you could hook your neb cup up to it. i've done it one time. i'm sure it helps, but i didn't see a difference so i'm just sticking to doing my meds first then the acapella.

Do you mean hooking it up like this? (See photo I've attached)

I've tried it but I've found that the flow of the aerosolized medication isn't strong enough to push through that back end in order to reach my mouth. I'm not confident that doing this method of nebbing delivers all the medication to my lungs. If it did, that's cool, but since it doesn't, I don't use this method. My airway clearance (I use a Quake now instead of the acapella because it pulses when you breathe in as well as out, so it's a greater benefit.) I also do my vest while nebbing.

thanks Haley and NightNlife... I think your both right, it just doesnt work the same, and not any better then taking the extra time to do one after the other. and yes, nightNlife, thats what i meant by hooking it up.
