AERONEB GO MEDS

I liked my Go, but it wasn't boilable (long story, rip little Go ). I had it for a nasal neb. I think you can get solutions to sterilize it, but I don't know what they are by name. It would need to be something that kills pa, aspergillus, mac, etc. You could contact the company you got it from- they should be able to tell you. Apparently, the ones that are sold in Europe are boilable, per the insert instructions- I'm waiting to get one of those .

I have a nebulizer that also has a vibrating mesh made by Omron. It also can't be boiled so I called the company and asked if I could use Control III, a disinfectant which does kill PA. The other thing that kills everything is hydrogen peroxide, but you have to soak everything for 30 minutes Unlike the E-flow, with some brands you can't use alcohol (or maybe hydrogen peroxide)or the mesh will rust.

To give you an idea of how Omron told me to clean mine -- With the Omron, they told me to run Control III through the nebulizer, followed by running distilled water through it twice, then to soak all parts of the medicine cup in Control III (probably for 10 minutes), then rinse with distilled water. I actually never used it because it seemed like too much trouble. You should check with Aero Go as to how they want you to disinfect their nebulizer.

I know you can use the hydrogen peroxide with the Go- that was in my instructions for cleaning it, but to put (an amount I can't recall right off hand- 1/4 of a teaspoon? 1/2?) into the neb and let it run until it was empty. I don't know about soaking the whole thing though. The mesh is coated or something so that HS won't rust it either .

If I can find my directions, I'll let you know what they said for reference while you're trying to figure it out. I think it was wash and then run the hydrogen peroxide through it, and then rinse with sterile water...something like that, lol. That wasn't much help, was it? Good luck!
