Hey all,

I am home from my 12 weeks in Tanzania. I ended up coming home 2 weeks early to get a new port before family vacation and school starts. That went well and the port is working fine. I feel great and did my entire trip, save for 4 days when I had malaria. I am on IV meropenem and oral Levaquin cause my doc wanted to be on the safe side.
I had an awesome time and cannot wait to go back. I worked teaching kindergarten for 5 weeks, and in an orphanage for 5 weeks.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Hey Maggie! Glad to hear you're home safe and sound. I leave for
Kenya in about 3 weeks, and will be working in a girls high school
in Kibera, Nairobi. Sorry I wasn't able to keep up with your blog,
my work schedule was crazy! I saw your pictures though and the trip

I was taking malaria pills...unfortunately they don't always work :/ but it was only 4 days out of 10 weeks, so it's okay with me.
