I just got done with a tune up for 3 weeks and already now my lungs still feel tight and I am tired. Not sure if tiredness is due to getting back in the swing of things after 3 weeks on my butt or if my lungs are not 100% and that is why. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of this tight feeling in my chest when I sleep and making feel like i have to cough every second. I am also tired of being tired! I did start to work out a bit and I also stopped my HS because it was making my lungs feel worse but now I wonder if it was not the HS at all and just my lungs not feeling quite better! My PFT did go up from prior to tune up so not sure what is going on!

So frusterated!!!!

I ALWAYS feel a little tired and slow after a tune-up. It usually takes me a solid week to get back into the swing of things. I would suggest keeping up the workouts and getting on a solid sleeping schedule that you follow NO MATTER WHAT. I also find that if I go on a walk first thing in the morning, I have more energy through out the day.

You're not alone.

The last three times or so that I've been on IV abx (for 6 weeks each time, mind you... since they thought the combos weren't working) even when my pft went up, I still never felt great or amazing. I even usually kept my same colored cough (it would lessen a little bit, but never go away). Even during the therapy I didn't feel that awesome.

I chalk it up to maybe just worsening lung disease so I maybe won't get those same "highs" after IV abx. Whereas before my FEV1 would go up 7-8% above baseline after a clean out, now it goes up about 2% above baseline. So, even though its an improvement, its not as good as it used to be.

That's just my opinion and experience though. I know there are some on here that usually take a while to get that "jolt" after a tuneup, once they go back to their schedule, activity, and appetite, but that isn't the way I've ever been or expect to be.

Sorry you're not feeling better. I know its really frustrating. At least your pfts went up though... that means you at least can bounce back from an infection, even if it isn't exactly what you want it to be/feel like.

All my best...
