Sakasuka has a good point...however, NOT being nervous when asked actually takes practice! I was nervous just about everytime I passed Customs in the U.S. when I was coming from Japan in my first ten years of living here. I eventually got used to dealing with some of those "Authority Figures" and was able to maintain calmness and increase my confidence to which they wouldn't pursue any further, perhaps "unnecessary" questions.
But, definitely, just state what the meds are for, and the prescription on the bottle should at least confirm that.

Have fun in L.A.!

I take mine when I fly- and I point out as soon as the airport people touch it that it is a $16,000 piece of medical equipment. Then they ask me what it is, and I tell them it is basically a compressor and no problem (and then they unzip and bomb sniff it and give it the once over ). And for some reason, either my Pulmozyme or my Xopenex always sets off something at the Orlando airport on our way home (the foil packages new and unopened when I leave, and are open when I come back).

I also usually take my meds in a "7 day planner case", and copies of the prescription on the bottle (I roll the bottle as the scanner goes across-lol). Has anyone ever had a problem with doing this, or know anyone who has? So far, it's been okay, but I haven't flown in over a year...
