akron (ohio) wine opener for cf

hey all,

my man just bought tickets to the akron wine tasting event for cf in april. I was just wondering if anyone is going or has gone...if so, what is it like? I've heard it's been super crowded b/c it usually sells out. I'm really excited for it and was wondering what to expect. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

My husband and I go with several of our friends. Its a great time. Great food and wine, and yes it gets pretty crowded!!

Just out of curiousity...what are ticket prices for your Wine Opener event? The one held here is $120 a couple. I know it's all for CF, but it's cost prohibitive for us.

We aren't big wine drinkers anyway, so we wait and go to the beer tasting that CFF sponsors later in the year. Tickts are only $20...and we like beer!

I just curious if the wine opener is that expensive other places, too.

ticket prices are $60 per person unless you want to be VIP (you get more wines for tasting and you get in an hour earlier than everyone else), then tickets are like $115 each. we're just doing the regular tickets...we can't afford VIP and this is our first time going anyway so we figured we'd keep it simple <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
