I second the notion of layers vs. a big down coat - but would make sure you have a decent rain jacket that can go over the layers. Maybe a hat, too, especially if you're going dogsledding and it happens to be a cool day. Basically, prepare yourself for many types of weather - it was 82 here today (near Anchorage, and this is unusually hot), but many days it is rainy and in the 50's.

I believe they take you to a glacier to do it in the summer... I did a quick google search for "Alaska dog sledding summer" and found several sites. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif" border="0">
