Albuterol update!

Yes, the Neb version will make you nervous and jittery. Sometimes I almost get a paranoid feeling, but that's only every now and then.

As for doing the neb version before HTS, I would say YES! Do the albuterol before the saline. Sometimes I do the albuterol and then HTS right after. However, I find that if I do the albuterol neb and then wait a few minutes, the HTS seems to do better and I don't get as tight and the HTS seems to go down better.

Also, if the HTS is too strong and it's hard to take (some days it's just harsher than others), you can cut it with a little bit of the Albuterol to make it more tolerable.

Enjoy your Nebs!

I do my HTS right after the albuterol. It takes me about 15 minutes to do my albuterol neb - I think it depends on what kind of compressor you have and what type of nebulizer, but it takes me a bit longer because I use my vest at the same time and I stop to cough up junk, etc. If I just did the alb neb straight through with no stopping, it'd probably take 8 minutes.

As far as the HTS - I have never heard of cutting it with a little albuterol. I mix my own, so if it seems too strong, I put in a little more of the 3% which dilutes it better.

One more thing to clarify...the albuterol makes some people shaky and nervous, but not everyone. I don't notice anything like that personally, but it is a known possible side effect so that's why I mentioned it.
