am i the only one paranoid about air?

No your not alone, and six inches it a LOT, if you ask me..just ask if they can please remove the air, that you would feel better ( my nurses do it even if there is a big bubble... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> Joni 55 y/o f w c/f

This freaks me out so bad!!! Especially when I am getting my port hepranized. Last time I went she forgot to flush the line and I thought she ( the nurse) was going to flush the air through! My heart was pumping a million miles an hour cause I was so scared. haha I didn't wanna offend her by saying/ asking anything though!!

Carebear, it is ALWAYS better to risk offending the nurse than to die. You should never have to feel afraid like that. 6 inches of air in the line is NOT okay. I'm sorry you had to go through that anxiety. Be sure to speak up, okay?
