I have to disagree with jjflash also. I am 41 years old and you can bet your behind in my 41 years, i have seen some very VERY tough times with cf and you dont see me being rude, immature and snappy at people. That behavior just isnt right and just because someone has cf or any other illness or problems does not excuse that type of behavior. I agree with Jane that i also do not have anything personal against Amy, i do however have something against her attitude and behavior on this board, as do MANY others. She can be of a great help to many with her knowledge....We all have something to offer and give on this board, but there is NO reason to excuse rude, hurtful remarks or totally out of line questions that will definitely start a whole production of anger. No-one else does it , and we all have cf ....some way worse than others, and i dont see them acting out on the board. None the less its good to see she is only having sign in problems and is ok.

she didn't really treat people that badly.. She might have asked a coldish question, but she didn't directly insult anyone. Hell...given the context of this site, i would say it even had merit.

my feelings regarding amy are also not personal. we are polar opposites and i rarely agree with amy's views particularly about parenting!!!! my personal belief is "if you haven't got anything nice to say don't say anything at all" unfortunately amy's view seems to be the opposite and she seems to seek out hurting peoples feelings.

as i have stated many times, my purpose in coming to this site is the exchange of information. i'm not in a popularity contest to see how many people like me; nor am i hear to get my ego stroked when i post and i need everyone to agree with me which seems to be the goal of many who ask for advice or opinions.

i learn a great deal from others and i know that others can say the same about me. it would have never occured to me to visit dr. warwick had it not been for this site. and to give back to the site, i am trying to relay all the information that i received from visiting him.

also as i have stated before, i am not intimidated by others who attack me personally.... i will continue to say what i believe and ask questions that i am curious about.

Stop it people. We need to stop being personal! I know most of us get our bristles up over one thing or another that Amy sometimes says, but we don't need personal attacks. While I doubt this defense will ever be reciprocated-sorry!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I have a problem with this thread also-I know that wasn't the originator's intent but it turned out that way.
I don't think Amy should change her views and being an outspoken, strong willed person with strong values is a good thing, not a bad thing that should be changed. (I'm sure Molly Brown wasn't everybody's favorite woman on the Titanic, but she's the only passenger we remember!) I do have a big problem with <i>the way </i>Amy articulates her views-but not the views in themselves. I really wish she'd change that specifically, b/c she's hurt several people and gotten some people really down about the feel around the site lately-but that's up to her.
That being said, it is not right to have a thread that single's out one particular person. That doesn't help anybody or solve anything-and only increases hurt feelings and tension. Everyone involved in the recent debates already made their points in the original threads.
That's my 2 cents.
