Hey there Julie,

This is Ronnie....got a letter today stating that even though they asked for medical evidence, I didnt provide any. I went in to my appointment with the stack of copies you provided me, and the women insisted I take them back and mail them in. So...guess what...I get my denial letter today. I am so incredibly angry...

Ronnie,

Appeal... Like I stated above we have to keep on them and keep fighting. I have been fighting for 6 years, Sweetness fought for nine. Watching social Security's paint dry can be annoying and disheartening, but keep fighting. I have been denied 2 times by the ALJ, appealed and got a remand both times, because the ALJ withheld evidence, and didn't consider the situations as a whole. My ALJ went to the extent of stating that I could do my coughing and spitting up on my breaks at work, like it is schedualed, "Almost break time. I will be able to finallly cough, and spit up" lol. Don't give up, appeal, and keep fighting!

Congrats, Julie!!!

I was denied at the federal level about 10 years ago. Appeal, deny, appeal, deny. We exhausted ALL of our appeals. I didn't know Julie at the time but know now that if I had known her, I would have won my case.

Fast forward to the present and I was granted SSDI on the first try thanks to all of Julie's wonderful suggestions. I started from scratch and filled out the mountain of paperwork. I even had to do a PFT by the SSDI docs (which of course was no better than every PFT I sent them with my records). They even had a third party check my case for quality control and still I got it. It was a great feeling and, in my case, WAY overdue. I won't get back any money from those 10 years of work history (I actually worked a lot more back then, so would be a much bigger SSDI payment), but its still nice to receive the small "stipend" I do.

I agree 100% that its sickening that people can "work" the system making it so difficult for those who really need SSDI. I wish those who are working on their cases luck. Julie is an AWESOME and AMAZING selfless resource. Please use dafcf.org!
