Hmm, let's see, now I know everybody knew I'd reply to this post, now didn't you! I'm refrerring to the drinking--of course! Well, since I have just gotten off work, even though it is morning, I'm writting this with beer in hand--or rather sitting nearby...Most times it's my fav--Irish coffee, some times bloody mary's--lovingly referred to by the night staff as "BM's IN THE AM". Then I go to bed-- sometime--after I tear myself away from the computer...which I am thinking of taking to my grave with me--that, and a bottle of Scottish Whiskey!
Do I drink too much? Don't think so, only in the morning, and not every morning, and only on nights I don't work, which, since it seems like I work all the time....Drinking isn't the solution, but I know what Brandon is going through right now, and believe me, I would have to drink! Sometimes there's something comforting in sitting around contemplating how f****d life is while having a drink in hand.
Now I know I'll get jumped on for "encouraging" drinking...but I believe it has it's place--like SD cautioned, only in moderation. I don't drink to get drunk--thank God those days are past, though I'm not saying it hasn't happened in chat....I'm usually not drunk, just tired. Actually, my typing seems to get better when I drink--but that is another story...
Mel, when I come up to NY next year for your party, you are my designated driver, you know--"I do get disgusted when grown adults drink themselves silly in public & become complete morons and a nuisance to others." I think this happening may be highly possible, but I hope to have a partner in your sister, who sounds like a kindred spirit--therefore I won't look so silly by myself!!!
So is it clear that I wll take my computer and a bottle of whiskey to my grave? And I pray that I go before kaylee, so I can be there for her, as I always have been, waiting and waving at the gate......
