Antibiotiic resistent pathogens

Sakem,

Thank you for posting this. I also thought this seemed so exciting. It's fuuny to me in particular, because as a vegetarian, I'm always as amazed at all the uses for the little soybean. Tofu, tempeh, treatment for CF...It would be great if this comes to fruition.

I agree with you that although anitibiotics are lifesavers, they are sometimes overused. I know this from personal experience with very scary incidences of being almost totally resistant to every antibiotic.

Kitomd, we have chatted before and I have read some of your posts and am always impressed with your medical knowledge. I especially love that you contacted Nanobio directly. I can see why although I am hopeful for this technology, other people may not be as excited.

If you notice on the Science Daily page, there is also a study for a treatment for a type of Cepacia that sounded incredibly promising. I was wondering how come people don't talk about this, since people do mention having this bacteria. I then noticed that the article was from 2007. And nothing new has been announced since that I am aware of.

So I guess with every new announcement, people get their hopes up and then don't hear of the treatment again or hear disappointing results once the trials get underway. I find it all very promising, because one of these days we will hear of something truly groundbreaking and it could be any of these new approaches. So I'm with you, I am optimistic and like James said maybe "guardedly" optimistic is even better.
