I am in the process of appliying for Social Security Disability - does anyone have a supplemental insurance company that accepts Cystic Fibrosis? I am worried about the deductable's.

Any advice would be helpful.

Hi PeteRose,
I have medicare through SSDI and have a BC/BS plan as a supplemental. There are no copays for drs visits or hospitalizations, and the medication copays aren't bad. You use a mail order pharmacy for long term meds with $15 copay for 3 months. Pulmozyme I get from CF Pharmacy with $0 copay. For short term medications from the local pharmacy I think there is a 20% copay. The coverage is good, but the premiums are pricey. Good luck!
