I was told i was pancreatic sufficient when i was dx at 14, although i do need to take aquadeks and calcichew d3 forte for having low vitamin levels so i don't know if im totally sufficient, anyway for the past 3-4 months ive been going from having diarrhoea to constipation, mostly the first (sorry if you're eating!!) and have bad wind, as well as trapped wind, and sometimes things look a little orange/yellow, im not sure if its the extra abx i was taking tho, that do seem to cause stomach issues, i am off them now tho and it seems to be continuing, but not as bad, and i seem to be gaining weight, not losing so i don't want to mention it to my clinic in case they think im being a drama queen

emerenta18,

If that continues maybe you could have the test repeated to see if you are still PS. I know that can change over time so it might not hurt to mention it. Doesn't sound dramatic to me. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Here's another angle to consider:

I'm PS. I used to take enzymes but got off them. It wouldn't be the fat in that meal that would likely cause me an issue. It would be the yeast. I almost never eat yeast-leavened breads anymore. When I do eat something like pizza that's been ordered in for a work function, I always end up with a stomach ache. Cheese can also promote yeast and some are worse than others. The natural sugars in fruit (avocado) can feed yeast. So for me, that sandwich would probably cause a big yeast problem. I tolerate healthy fats just fine. I don't tolerate some fats, but it's not the amount of fat that's a problem, it's the type of fat.

Peace.
