Hi...

OK, so today I had my first consult with a local psychiatrist. She Rx'd Paxil CR for my anxiety and constant worry. I know lots of people here have experience with many things for anxiety (as do I, I've tried about 8 anti-anxiety meds in my lifetime and didn't stay on them cause of side effects or no relief.) Anyway, just curious if anyone has tried Paxil CR and what they think of it? Side effects? Do you get relief from it? Thanks. I find I'm terribly ANXIOUS even to try new ANXIETY meds... LOL

Thanks for any info. I go back to her after taking these for 2 weeks and will take the first dose tomorrow morning.

I too have quite a bit of anxiety and anxiousness. Over the summer I was prescribed Paxil, but after taking it for about 4 days I stopped... it dried out my lungs to the point where I couldn't cough up anything and felt the mucous building in my chest. So I gave a big fat no to Paxil (and 2 others I've tried with the same side effect).

Good luck in finding a right fit for you. So far I've had no luck, so I've given up for the moment and am focusing on finding a good therapist instead.

I took Paxil for awhile many years ago. I can't remember much about it, except that I really didn't like it for some reason. Sorry, I know that's not much help. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
