Anyone Use A Fireplace In Their Home?

i have a fireplace in my apt. and have only used candles in it. I used to love the smell of a fireplace, but in the past few years when i am walking outside or driving by where someone has a fireplace going it really irritates my sinus's and lungs so having a fire in my own fireplace is out of the question. I guess it all depends on how it affects you. If you have no irritation then why not go with the glass doors and enjoy the fire.... But if you have any irritation with it then you may wish to stick to candles in the fireplace.

I had a fireplace in my old house (we moved to my grandmother's house about 3 years ago). We used the fireplace at least once every winter. At least. I think we did have glass doors on it, though.
