Hi, I have cf & I am short. The baby pushed on everything. Here is what I did. Ate anything all day, non stop. Like everyone else, dinner and lunch were whatever. Hubby was on his own.
to get and keep weight I drank skandi shake I mixed 6 packets with 4 cups of milk, it gave a few more calories per milk cup.
I had one before bed. then,
I took a cup of that up to bed with me. I put it in a cooler with ice. when my husband got up at 5am for work, I drank it. then breakfast when I woke up again. It was like having 2 breakfast a day. gave me the final weight I needed. I gained only 15lbs and she was over 5lbs & 17 inches long.
BTW my "healthy" sister gave birth a few months before me. She gained 16lbs and her baby was only one ounce less than mine and one inch longer. Her doc did not have a fit because she did not gain a lot of weight. Good Luck
