I dont know how many of you have thought of what a CFer can donate as far as organs etc, but we can offer a lot. If you havent thought about this or have a family member that hasnt thought about it, please address it. In addition to what we can offer do to our health issues, its important that others who dont have CF know. It can start at an early age. This whole thought process came to me today because of a Letter to Dear Abby from a Mom whose 17 year old son questioned if he should check the donor box on his license. They discussed the whole issue and one year later her son died of injuries from a car accident. Because of the chat they had she chose to donate her sons organs. One kidney/pancreas went to a 29 year old father of 3, his left kdney, heart, liver, intestines and corneas went to others.
