Are you always on antibiotics?

I have pretty much been on antibiotics non-stop since I was a kid. I think it was pretty rare that I was off of them - I always remember inhaling Gentamycin or taking Keflex or Bactrim. I have been on Tobi and/or tobramycin since i was 13.

<br />Currently I am on Zithromax M-W-F and either tobramcyin (w/eFlow) or Cayston. If I am off antibiotics, I get sick fairly quickly.

One thing my doc has said as far as cultures and sensativities is that imagine you are picking a tree out of a forest... So thats one reason i dont always panic when i get a bad result because it may not be very accurate...

But i am pretty much always on inhaled no orals because of m. Abscessus. I just started tobi after a three month cayston run to help beat down some b cepecia which i think did its job, but the tobi has definitely made a differenepce this round i can feel it already.

Every other month on Cayston. 3 times a week on Azithromycin. I was on Septra DS for 2 years straight, but am taking a break from it.

I'm always on an inhaled antibiotic and Azithromycin.
I take oral Levaquin when I am 'sick'.

What I don't understand is when I take the Levequin for 10 days it will do absolutely nothing. I go in for IVs to get better. Then six months later, I will start feeling sick again, start taking the levequin and the same dosage works and makes me feel great. All other drugs remained the same.

Why does that happen I wonder.
